The actual concrete, which is used for the floor of industrial buildings, is implemented in the form of a screed about 7 cm thick on which is projected colored quartz. After smoothing with the helicopter, a polishing finish is applied. For individuals, it is mainly products for decorative use that are proposed: also called mill metric concretes, they are thin and imitate the appearance of polished concrete. To these mortars produced from sand or silica, and cement or lime, are added pigments or dyes. A wax or a finishing varnish is then applied to protect their surface.
