The American Moderate was established In the wake of a contentious and vitriolic 2016 election, which saw unprecedented political polarization and citizen disillusionment. We are a group of millennials who reject the notion that bipartisanship is a thing of the past, or that compromise is unwise. We are Republicans, Democrats, Independents… we are all Moderates.

In this divided society, wherein so many opt to exist in perpetual echo chambers, confirming their opinions and leaving little opportunity to have them effectively challenged, we believe that it is vitally important to offer an alternative -- not just for fellow moderates, or for millennials, but for all Americans tired of a government and a political climate that prioritizes ideology over productivity.

We will strive to provide the best content, through a robust editorial process and with some of the best young minds this nation has to offer, from some of its finest institutions and most prominent organizations. There is much work to be done to begin counteracting the quagmire we now find ourselves in, as Americans looking for reason and pragmatic action. We look forward to working with you to ensure we are a strong voice in stark opposition to this, offering not simply centrist or any one ideology, but a range of conservative and liberal, moderate positions and ideas for setting our nation back on the path to meaningful discourse and unity in spite of our differences.

Thank you for your support.
