Daniel Baum

Daniel A. Baum is a Contributing Writer for The American Moderate.

Daniel is a young pol born and raised in the Metropolitan Detroit area. Throughout his time in the Bloomfield Hills Schools, he founded two democracy events whereby the Michigan State Senate awarded MI Senate Resolution #119 in his honor after the event received personalized support from Vice President Biden, several Cabinet members, and other elected officials. A member and leader of various youth organizing/civic engagement groups, Daniel was selected to attend the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, NC as a Michigan Delegation Page. Albeit, Washington, D.C. has always been his “home away from home.” Daniel served as a Page in the 112th U.S. Congress sponsored by U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow (MI-D) where he lived, attended school, and worked on Capitol Hill. He then returned to D.C. to begin his undergrad at American University’s School of Public Affairs. Currently, he attends Michigan State University in Lansing, MI pursuing a Bachelor’s of Arts in Public Policy with a minor in Health Promotion.
