Jamie Grant is a Contributing Writer to The American Moderate.
Jamie is currently a Senior at the University of Stirling Scotland, studying a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in politics. First involved in politics through the 2014 Scottish Independence Referendum, he developed a keen interest in civic nationalism, political engagement and constitutional policy. A member of the Scottish National Party, he continues to hope Scotland will once again become an independent nation, and full member of the international community. As of writing, he is the President of the Politics Society at his institution, an organisation that takes pride in the principles of free speech, moderation and discussion. In addition to his duties as Campaigns Manager for the SNP student organisation on campus, his time is spent at the Student Union as an elected official, in the capacity of Communities Officer. He spent a semester abroad on exchange at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and remains concerned over the polarisation of both western media and political discourse. Hobbies include rambling for the local student newspaper Brig, and musing on the radio.
