Nikitha Rai is a Senior Editor and a Co-Founder of The American Moderate. As a self-described pragmatic progressive, she is passionate about empowering women and finding innovative solutions to the country’s most pressing economic issues. Her past experience includes interning in Washington, D.C. at a lobbying firm, where she specialized in the financial services sector, and spending two summers working on Wall Street as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst. She also spent a summer studying Chinese in Beijing, China. Nikitha is a senior at Mount Holyoke College, studying Economics and Asian Studies. While in college, she co-founded and co-produced an all-women’s radio talk show called 4.0utlook, dedicated to producing high-level economic and political analysis on current events. She also served as co-Chair of Mount Holyoke’s Women in Business club. Upon graduation, she will return to Wall Street as an Investment Banking Analyst. Nikitha is originally from Erie, Pennsylvania and is a proud Steelers fan. Stricken with a serious case of wanderlust, she enjoys traveling anytime she gets the opportunity, and has visited over 25 countries. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, fitness, and having in-depth conversations about Game of Thrones.
